This custom fireplace remodel in the Saritas Valley community of Leander, TX turned a plain, builder-grade fireplace wall into a dramatic 12-foot-wide by 12-foot-tall focal point. We extended the fireplace structure roughly 3 feet on each side to create built-in cabinet niches, built a raised step-up hearth, and framed out the wall for a new linear fireplace insert. We then installed 48x48 polished porcelain slab tile with a marble-look finish across the entire wall and hearth, keeping grout lines to a minimum for a seamless, high-end appearance. To complete the buildout, we added floating white oak shelves, marble tile with gold inserts above the cabinets in each niche, custom white shaker cabinetry with brass hardware, and recessed accent lighting above the tile. The finished wall is a fully custom media and fireplace feature that anchors the entire living room.
