- Do you refinish (sand and finish) hardwood floors?
- No. We do not offer sand-and-finish services for solid hardwood floors. We focus on flooring removal, repair, and installation for tile, laminate, LVP, and engineered wood.
- What causes laminate or LVP flooring to buckle?
- Common causes include lack of expansion space around the perimeter of the room, moisture coming up through a concrete slab (especially without a proper 6 mil plastic moisture barrier), loose or damaged flooring underneath, and general subfloor issues. We always inspect underneath the flooring before deciding on a repair, since every floor is different.
- My tile feels loose or hollow, or the grout lines are cracking. What's going on?
- This usually means the tile has lost its bond to the subfloor, which can happen from age, moisture, or improper installation. Left alone, loose tile can crack further, buckle, or come apart at the grout lines. We remove and replace the affected sections and properly prep the area so it doesn't happen again.
- Do you sell flooring materials for repairs?
- No, we specialize exclusively in labor. For most repairs you'll supply the replacement material (spare tile, matching planks, etc.), or in some cases we're simply resetting and reinstalling your existing flooring.
- Can you fix water damage to my floors?
- Yes. Fast response matters with water damage — we remove the damaged flooring, make sure the subfloor is completely dry before anything goes back down to prevent mold, and reinstall your replacement materials once it's safe to do so.
- How do you provide a repair estimate?
- Because repairs often involve hidden damage we can't see until we start, we can only give you an accurate estimate after visiting in person, or a rough ballpark over the phone if you send us photos. This is different from our installation pricing, which we can quote by the square foot upfront.
